About Me

Hello, I am Steve Mullen. I am a web designer and front end developer from Tulsa, Oklahoma. I enjoy making the web a better looking place. I do my best to “fight the ugly” one day at a time.

The Job Stuff...

Born and raised here in Oklahoma, I have always had a passion for art. I began with traditional art doing pencil and pen/ink drawings. A friend of mine introduced me to Photoshop and the rest is history. I graduated Valedictorian from Catoosa High School and eventually Graduated with a degree in Multimedia Design from Oklahoma State University - Okmulgee. I currently work at Creative State, a rockin’ creative agency in Tulsa. I work as the front-end developer as well as a designer. I am passionate about the web and the user’s experience on the web.

The Personal Stuff...

Update: We are pregnant! My wife and I are expecting a beautiful healthy baby girl on March 23rd. It's a really exciting time for us as we prepare for her arrival. Wish me luck! My life will be forever changed.

Aside from being all geeky, I enjoy many things. I am one of those guys that like to do way more things then time allows. I am a big mountain biker. I grew up racing motocross and BMX and now I have made the switch to Mountain biking, but you won’t find me wearing any spandex. Sorry. I ride freeride and downhill, as well as Dirt Jumping, and maintain a statewide website www.freerideoklahoma.com.

I also enjoy taking photographs. If you have not already, please take a look at the photos at the bottom of each page. I am trying to dive more into the video world as well but have not taken the time to fully pursue video.

The Family Stuff...

Photo of my lab Dillynn

This is the best part! I married this SUPER hott chick my high school sweetheart in September 2007. We have three children, a toy fox terrier, a rat terrier and a fat black lab (yes she is fat). Three dogs!? Yes we are crazy, oh and guess what, they are all indoor dogs. God is number one in our life and has blessed us so much!

Thanks for taking a look at the site. Want to know more? Okay, kind of creepy but feel free to contact me anytime. And don’t forget to take a look at my work if you have not already, or read some of my senseless ramblings or go out side and play, just quit staring at that picture of my lab. I know she is fat, she can’t help it, it’s our fault.
